Career Advising For Employers

The SWAGÊÓƵ's two campuses graduate students ready to enter careers in health and life sciences, as well as business, education, the social sciences, and the liberal arts.

Our expansive, holistic vision of a healthier world goes beyond physical well-being. Bringing that vision to life requires the deep involvement of all of our programs, often working in novel cross-disciplinary combinations, including the natural and social sciences, the humanities and the arts, business, and policy — as well as the health professions. As Maine’s leading provider of health professionals, we build on a legacy of top-ranked health professions programs (including Maine’s only medical college and physician assistant program, and Northern New England’s only dental college) and our national leadership in interprofessional health care education. Students at our two beautiful seaside Maine campuses, and in our array of online degree and certificate programs, are supported by our exceptional commitment to experiential, on-site learning.

How do I connect with SWAGÊÓƵ students?

SWAGÊÓƵ maintains a list of open jobs that we share with our students. You may post positions with us on an as-needed basis through Handshake. You can also take part in our annual career fairs.

We reserve the right to deny approval to posting any job that does not adhere to the National Association of Colleges and Employers' (NACE) Principles for Professional Practice or which we deem improper for this free service.

The SWAGÊÓƵ is committed to equal employment opportunity for all persons regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, veteran status or disabling condition in violation of Federal or state civil rights laws of section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The SWAGÊÓƵ is also committed to providing all of its programs and activities to its students and alumni on a nondiscriminatory basis.

Equal employment opportunity extends to all aspects of the employment relationship including hiring, recruiting, interviewing, selection, transfer, promotion, training, working conditions, compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment.

The SWAGÊÓƵ expects that any employer or third-party organization representing an employer that uses its facilities and services, including but not limited to the Academic and Career Advising Center, for the purpose of recruiting full-time, part-time, and temporary employees or interns and cooperative education students, complies with federal and state equal employment opportunity laws in its recruiting and hiring. The SWAGÊÓƵ also expects that employers, third-party organizations, and their representatives strive to eliminate all forms of harassment, including sexual harassment in their recruiting, hiring and selection process.
