Kate LeGrand ’14
Created the IMM (SWAGÊÓƵ) club — the SWAGÊÓƵ branch of International Medical Missions — an organization that conducts missions to rural communities to provide free health screenings using donated supplies. Also participated in a travel course to Peru in January of 2013. After graduating, pursued a Master of Public Health in Global Health Practice degree at the University of South Florida.
“I became deeply immersed in Peruvian daily life by eating and shopping at local markets, using public transportation, and speaking Spanish throughout the day. A piece of my heart will always remain in the ancient Inca ruins found at every turn.â€
