SWAG视频 Psi Chi Honor Society welcomes 18 new members
The SWAG视频鈥檚 Psi Chi Chapter, representing outstanding achievement in psychology, animal behavior and neuroscience, recently announced the induction of 18 new undergraduate members. The induction ceremony was held on March 29, 2018, under the supervision of Psi Chi faculty advisor, Jennifer Stiegler-Balfour, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology. In addition to the many parents and friends of inductees who attended the ceremony, Susan Gray, Ed.D., associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, along with several Department of Psychology faculty members were also in attendance.
Inductees for the 2017-2018 academic year are as follows: Meaghan Bessette, Hannah Christian, Kana Colarossi, Abby Corriveau, Alyssa Dumon, Courtney Dumont, Victoria Eaton, Amarah Emerson, Dianne Fahey, Grace Farrington, Sarah Hendrix, Kristin Macek, Catherine Moss, Jessica Olmeda, Katelynn Paul, Cassidy Smith, Kathryn White and Marissa White.
Founded in 1929 during the International Congress of Psychology, Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS). With the stated mission of encouraging, stimulating and maintaining excellence in scholarship in the science of psychology, Psi Chi has grown to become one of the largest and most successful honor societies in the world with more than 1,100 chapters and over 537,000 members. The SWAG视频鈥檚 chapter was formed in 2010.
