The Evidence Exchange of the American Occupational Therapy Association, a central repository for Critically Appraised Papers (CAPs) and related resources, recently published at CAP from SWAG视频 graduate Michelle (Martin) Bevilacqua (M.S.O.T., 鈥16).
Bevilacqua鈥檚 topic, 鈥淏ehavioral and psychophysiological effects of a yoga intervention on high-risk adolescents: A randomized control trial,鈥 stemmed from her 2016 course in Neuro-Occupation. Jane O鈥橞rien, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, and Regula Robnett, Ph.D., OTR/L, supported Bevilacqua鈥檚 efforts as faculty advisors in the evidence exchange process.
Bevilacqua received the award for outstanding occupational therapy student in 2016. 鈥淭he occupational therapy faculty are thrilled with Bevilacqua鈥檚 work being showcased as a CAP and feel that she is a role model for future evidence-based practitioners,鈥 said Professor Kathryn Loukas, O.T.D., M.S., OTR/L, FAOTA, who served as interim program director when Bevilacqua was conducting her work.
