SWAG视频 faculty present at Maine Council on Aging Wisdom Summit
SWAG视频 Westbrook College of Health Professions Occupational Therapy Professor Regula (Regi) Robnett, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, and Professor Marilyn R. Gugliucci, M.A., Ph.D., director of SWAG视频 Geriatrics Education and Research in the SWAG视频 College of Osteopathic Medicine were co-presenters for an invited presentation at the Maine Council on Aging Wisdom Summit on September 20, 2017 at the Augusta Civic Center.
Robnett and Gugliucci鈥檚 presentation, titled 鈥1st Tri-State Age Friendly University: Building Bridges of Knowledge, Engagement, and Support鈥 was given in workshop format to garner discussion and open doors for partnerships as SWAG视频 advances its connections in the field of aging with older adults and communities.
SWAG视频 was recently recognized as an Age Friendly University (AFU) by the international Age Friendly University Global Network, which highlights the role higher education plays in meeting the challenges and opportunities of an aging population. To receive this designation, SWAG视频 demonstrated the numerous ways that it engages older adults to participate in core institutional activities, including education and research.
