The Associated Press highlighted the SWAG视频鈥檚 efforts to recruit international students in a recent article titled, 鈥淯S colleges assure overseas students: You are welcome here.鈥 It includes photos of SWAG视频鈥檚 open house for Moroccan students at its Tangier campus.

The article points to efforts from several top U.S. colleges and universities to ensure foreign students that they will be welcomed at their institutions. SWAG视频 Vice President for Global Affairs and Communications Anouar Majid, Ph.D., shared the concerns he has heard from Moroccan students interested in studying at SWAG视频.

"Several students wearing hijabs wondered whether they would be welcome in the United States, given the election of Donald Trump and the rhetoric they were hearing," said Majid. "We assured them that the United States is very welcoming."

The AP also interviewed prospective SWAG视频 student Aymane Lamharzi Alaoui, who said that family members in Boston reassured him that Americans are more welcoming than the current political rhetoric would suggest.
