SWAG视频 Dean Jeanne Hey gives University鈥檚 Featherman Lecture on 2016 presidential candidates and future of American foreign policy

The SWAG视频 will present its annual Bernard and Sandra Featherman Distinguished Humanities Lecture on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. This year鈥檚 speaker, SWAG视频鈥檚 Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Jeanne Hey, Ph.D., will present 鈥淭he 2016 Presidential Election and the Future of American Foreign Policy.鈥 The lecture will be held on the Biddeford Campus from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Harold Alfond Center for Health Sciences, room 106. The event is free and open to the public.

The lecture will analyze the foreign policy platforms and records of the leading presidential candidates and discuss what kind of foreign policy future each one would create.

Before coming to SWAG视频, Hey served as the director of International Studies and professor of Political Science at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. A graduate of Bucknell University, she earned a Ph.D. in political science from The Ohio State University. She has conducted research and taught university courses in Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and Europe. She has published four books and numerous articles on foreign policy, developing regions and pedagogy in international studies.

The Featherman Distinguished Humanities Lecture was established in 1998 by SWAG视频 President Sandra Featherman, Ph.D., and her husband, Bernard Featherman.
