Jessica Dizon and Andrew Sedano to participate in 2015 National Association of Chain Drug Stores RxImpact Day

Jessica Dizon, College of Pharmacy 鈥15, and Andres Sedano, College of Pharmacy 鈥17, have been selected to participate in the 2015 National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) RxImpact Day in Washington, DC.  This event aims to train the next generation of pharmacy leaders and advocates.

Dizon and Sedano will be advocating for two congressional bills: one that would increase access to Medication Therapy Management for Medicare beneficiaries, and another that would amend the Social Security Act to include pharmacists as providers, enabling patients to access and pay for pharmacist services.

鈥淭he application process was very competitive, and only 60 students were selected for this opportunity nationwide,鈥 said Kenneth McCall, B.S.Pharm, Pharm.D., Chair of SWAG视频鈥檚 Department of Pharmacy. 鈥淲e are very fortunate to have two outstanding pharmacy students from the SWAG视频 participating in this event.鈥
