Award winners for the 2011 COM Research Day announced
The SWAG视频's College of Osteopathic Medicine held its annual research day celebration on Friday Oct. 14, 2011.
The all day event featured keynote addresses by Dora Mills, MD, MPH, SWAG视频 vice president for clinical affairs, and Nananda F. Col, MD, MPP, MPH, FACP, founder at Shared Decision Making Resources, as well as oral and poster presentations by the medical students.
Presenters were evaluated by a panel of judges and their peers on the quality of their scholarship and ability to communicate the findings to the audience.
The organizers congratulate the following students who were selected for their outstanding performances:
Outstanding Oral Presentation Award:
Amy E. Riviere (Class 2014) "The articular cartilage paste graft technique: A longitudinal outcome evaluation of an active patient population."
Outstanding Poster Presentation Awards:
Nathaniel Doro (Class 2015) "Inhibition of lung cancer growth: ATP citrate lyase knockdown and statin treatment leads to dual blockade of mitogen-actiated protein kinase (MAPK) and phosphatidylinositol-3- kinase (PI3K)/AKT pathways."
Sarah Calnan (Class of 2014) "Effort in Establishment of an Intracellular Staining Protocol for Identifying Murine Leukemia Virus LP-BM5 Using Flow Cytometry."
