CAIEP Event – In Case of Emergency: Making team-based considerations for older adults, people living with dementia

Your future patient is an older adult who will be vulnerable in an emergency situation (snowstorms, heat waves, or gun violence). How can your team prepare people (particularly those with dementia), for these situations? This interprofessional expert panel will address local and national efforts underway to insure first responders, care partners, community organizations and individuals with physical and cognitive limitations are ready when natural or other disasters strike. Participation can be applied toward students’ IP Honors Distinction.
