IPE Shared Learning: Homelessness and the Role of Health Professionals (Primary Care Progress Town Hall Meeting)
Join us for our third annual Primary Care Progress Town Hall Meeting. Students will have the opportunity to communicate with a panel of experts in order to better understand homelessness, identify and assess substance abuse, and learn about local resources and organizations dealing with homelessness in our community.
Q&A discussion to follow. Dinner will be provided on the Portland Campus.
After attending this Town Hall meeting, participants will be able to:
路 Apply skills to identify and assess substance abuse in hospital and community settings,
路 Examine the difficulties that arise in health care professionals who care for persons who are homeless or at risk of being homeless, and
路 Describe 3-5 resources, organizations and processes to help persons dealing with homelessness and substance abuse in Greater Portland.
